No pokering this past weekend because my NYC roommate was in town. Lots of food (CraftSteak and Michael Mina) and drinking instead.

There are 17 people still left in the Blogger Eliminator Challenge. No casualties this week, as everyone picked either the Chargers, Colts or Patriots. We did, however, lose 7 players the week before (including AlCantHang) when the Eagles failed to score double digits against the Raiders. I survived with a scary Jaguars OT win in week 6 and coasted with my pick of the Colts in week 7.
Al does have a chance for free shot redemption, however, as I have decided to issue a challenge in ESPN's Poker Pick 'Em. Score better than Al, I buy you a shot. Al scores better than you, I buy Al a shot. Password = alcanthang.
I'm currently 4-2 in my fantasy football league, but I have a 5-point lead plus Westbrook against an opponent who still has Celek and Eagles D/ST in tonight's game. Should be interesting. It can't be any worse than getting Norv'ed last week when all I needed was one more Kaeding FG to get the win (instead of a lousy 1-point loss). I decided to bench McNabb this week in favor of E. Manning, and that decision just might come back to haunt me.

The World Series is going to be an all-east coast affair this year. I was not-so-secretly rooting for the Dodgers so that I had a chance of going to a World Series game - so much for that idea. Yes, yes, I know a bunch of you are confused by this one. I am an Eagles fan and a Yankees fan. Consistency was never one of my stronger suits. Now crubs, on the other hand . . . Ouch on fantasy. I'm leading my game by 2 points with Portis and Suisham (WAS kicker) against opponent's DeSean Jackson. I'm a Redskins fan. We're losing 42-10, mark it, I'm planning on losing my fantasy game, too.
I left McNabb active and Carson Palmer on my bench. Winning, but against Portis and Akers tonight, so I'm hoping not to regret the choice.
What did you think about CraftSteak? I went there recently with wifey Kim, and while we are big fans of Craft, we were disappointed by CraftSteak. Overpriced (which is not a problem if the food is good) and not particularly impressive.
@HoP: I thought it was just okay. Nothing special. N9NE, Cut and Prime are all much better options in Vegas for steak. I figured I'd give it a go because I hadn't been there before . . . now I don't have to worry abut doing that again.
